Legion is a show about…

…well…

…it’s about…

…honestly, I don’t know what in the hell Legion is about, but that doesn’t matter. I don’t know what in the hell The Dark Side of the Moon is about either and that doesn’t stop me from listening to it all the time, just like me not knowing what the hell Legion is about doesn’t stop me from watching it.

What I do know about Legion is that it is kind of about mental hospitals…

Ahhh…mental hospitals…

Yeah, I’ve spent some time in those lovely mental hospitals and boy, do I wish mental hospitals looked in real life like they do on this show because one thing mental hospitals need and that is some bright colors. Why they throw really, really, like really depressed people into a bunch of rooms with no color, I will never understand.

So maybe Legion is a show about how mental hospitals need more color?

Or maybe, Legion is a show about my life since it is about a guy who gets thrown into a mental hospital when he has no business being there. That’s what happened to me (except for the guy part, I’m a girl), and let me tell you, it ain’t no picnic in the park when you figure that little fact out that you spent all that time taking a bunch of unnecessary pills that did horrible things to your brain and body, in and out of mental hospitals thanks to constant breakdowns probably due to those unnecessary pills, spent thousands and thousands of dollars because health insurance doesn’t like covering mental illness, and even getting pressured into electric shock treatment that took your memory and threw it out the window for you to then spend years trying to find all the pieces to again, and then you find out that you never even needed any of those horrible, borderline barbaric things in the first damn place because you aren’t even remotely crazy, just different. So, if I had that guy’s superpowers, I’d be blowing up all kinds of shit too after I found that out, so it’s a good thing that I don’t have superpowers.

So, I may not know exactly what Legion is about, but I do know that it introduces a gay couple into the last episode of the first season so casually and quietly, I had to hit rewind several times to grasp the beautiful subtly of what I was watching. I don’t think I have ever seen a gay couple so easily introduced as part of the fold so quickly and discreetly and matter-of-factly into a TV series, like it’s no big deal…

Yep, that’s a gay couple…

Yep, that’s their kid…

And then we just move on with the story at hand…

That is TV history right there.

That’s what we fought years for, just being a part of everyday, normal life, whether it is real life or a TV series.

And to think, it was just as simple as that. 🙂

P.S.: Okay, so I didn’t understand what in the hell Legion was about, but I did understand that Jean Smart was in it and well, who cares what the hell Legion is about when you got the always lovely, sexy and gorgeous Jean Smart in it! 😉 🙂

Where are those trailer making genius bastards at?! You guys finally failed because this trailer needs more Jean Smart in it. Just saying. 😉
