Elderly Lesbians »

Now, I’ve already gotten shit for daring to use the word “elderly” in a review here on MOTR and for the life of me, I cannot figure out why “elderly” is on the PC Police’s hit list. I’m middle age myself and well on my way to elderly, or at least Lord I sure do hope so because if I’m elderly, then I’m still alive and isn’t that the point of getting elderly in the first place? To be able to say to the young folk, hey little person who thinks they know more than me even though I’ve lived twice as long as you, yeah you, I’m elderly, so deal. These poor kids today, who want to lecture us on our word choices, while their world crumbles around them and so I can’t blame them for concentrating on word choices, because who wants to contemplate 30 years of paying off a student degree that you can’t even get a job for and if you do manage to do that, then they barely pay you enough to survive, much less enough to be able to pay off those college loans that you only got in order to get a decent paying job. Well, that didn’t work out, now did it?! Poor kids today. So, let them have their PC War on Words. As for me? Well, I’m finally getting to the point of this category that I have dared to call “Elderly Lesbians” and that’s mostly because that’s my goal in life, to one day be an elderly lesbian, but anyway this category is basically any film with lesbians that dare to be elderly. Not a lot of films, but hey, something is better than nothing because for a long time there was a whole lot of nothing for us. Can I get an AMEN on that?!!
